It has been told that a lone wolf always returns to its pack. Mayhap it is true in my case as well. It has been nearly three years since I have stepped foot upon Green Barony soil. Perhaps it has been to long. Circumstances have taken me away from the only place I call home and away from the only people I call family. I travel here not only to see my home land but to give birth to my unborn child. In hopes that not to much has changed and I am still welcome.

Although I travel here alone I know the father is not far behind. Rovers are not welcome to set foot on Green Barony Territory unless accompanied by some one with stature. And by the chance of the stars the father is just that a rover by the name of Mad Manx. Not wishing to set foot upon land where he is unwelcome, he has no urge to meet my family.

Family, the word used in the only way I know how. The Barony is my only family The Barron and Baroness took me in as one of their charity cases when they found me on the rode side battered and bloody. They had given me a place to stay and food and some where to learn the teachings from some of the very best scholars in the four lands. I was sixteen when I was no longer considered a charity case. The Barron introduced to me the man I now consider my big brother. A man where his very name reaps fear in the hearts and souls of those who speak it. General Malagan Arla-khaine.

The General became my mentor teaching me to fight. The art of the sword, bow, and blade. Learning many ways to kill a man in his sleep or the effectiveness it was to come up behind one and slit them from ear to ear. General was a leader of the Iron Wolves, the Barony Guards and personal assassins for the Green Barron. Most of the men where know only buy the mark on their clothing showing they where apart of the pack. Ah, the pack how I miss them.

The General took me in to battle for the first time when I turned 18. I was one of the first on to the field and among the handful that came back. Promoting me from a mere squire to one of his right hand ladies I became a Iron wolf. Some of the most feared men (and woman,) in all of the four lands. Most of the men have traveled from afar to become part of the most powerful and feared Barony that everyone has become to know. Others such as myself where granted the opportunity to be a part of something great.




Chapter 2

Family was something I never had growing up My father gave me away shortly after my mother died from the sickness that nearly wiped out half of the population. I was only 7 when I was married off to a family with money and land. The deal, me for four acres of land ands a goat named Sally. The marriage was horrifying. I was beaten and tortured by my husband, a man who was nearly old enough to be my father. I took the beatings with a grain of salt until one day shortly after the summer solstice the year I turned thirteen I took it upon myself to rid me of the pain and kill my husband.

Taking what I have learned from the farmers and butchers that worked in the household I learned how to drain him of every ounce of life blood from him and leaving him to bea devoured by the hogs he had on his land.
